Rev. Chaney received her post high school education at Pennsylvania State University and Eastern University. She is a former school teacher and has taught at the Nineth Presbytery Learning Tree and Sanctuary Christian Academy.
Rev. Chaney, affectionately known as, Rev. Stacy or Lil' Rev. was licensed to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ in 1991 and serves the Lord as He leads and has need of her. She has become a sought after Conference Speaker and has had the opportunity to develop and conduct conferences for Women throughout the Tri-State Area.
She has spent 16 years of work in Ministry at the Mount Carmel Baptist Church, where she has taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. She has served on the Mount Carmel Christian Board of Education, Operation Andrew Evangelistic Ministry as well as numerous other ministries including Rays of Hope, postpartem recoverey services.
Rev. Chaney currently serves as an Associate Minister at Mount Carmel Baptist Church, where she teaches Youth Bible Study Classes for children ages 3 to 15 years as well as adult Bible Study on Wednesday evenings and also serves on the Mount Carmel Youth Commission.
She has also developed and continues to conduct Youth Workshops. A few to mention are are "Rooted in Rich Soil", "What are you doing with your freedom?" and "Youth of Promise, Power and Possibility."
Rev. Chaney joins the LMBC family as the Director of Children's Ministry. Her plans are to develop a Children's Ministry that encourages children to journey with Jesus and become all that God desires for them to be in Christ Jesus.
During the journey, Rev. Chaney plans to introduce the Children's Wordshop, Youth Retreats, and Children and a Youth Outreach Program along with a Big Sister/Big Brother heart to heart and hand 'n hand ministry among the youth and children at Lower Merion.
Rev. Chaney believes that the best is yet to come in the church where children are encouraged to grow, even as Jesus grew in wisdom and stature.
